Innovative Speech & Communication Services (IS&CS) is a local, home
based, provider of speech and language therapy. The director of this practice is
Nora K. Sailor, M.A., CCC-SLP, she is a graduate of Michigan State University
with a background in early childhood development and school age speech/language
impairments. She also has extensive experience in helping improve the
communication skills of children with apraxia, autism, and severe multiple

Each therapist associated with IS&CS has a Master's degree in speech-language
pathology and is certified with the Certificate of Clinical Competence through the
American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
IS&CS provides early intervention home programs, extra speech therapy during the
school year, and specializes in providing summer therapy , or "bridge services" for
families seeking to help their school-age child maintain their progress during the
summer months.
Q:
What is "innovative" about Innovative Speech &
Communication Services?
A:
IS&CS takes a "whole child" approach when providing
speech and language therapy. For example, if your child
has goals related to fine/gross motor skills, related
activities can be incorporated into the therapy session.
Q:
What if our schedule cannot accommodate a home visit
once or twice a week, but our child needs additional
help?
A:
IS&CS can meet with you to determine your child's
needs, and then set up a home program designed
especially for your child. The program will be set up in
four week increments, with a home visit arranged after
each four week period.
Q:
We belong to a local parent group of children with
disabilities, do you offer group discount rates for
members of our organization?
A:
Yes, if services are requested by two or more families,
IS&CS will offer reduced fees for home visits.

It is with great sadness and regret that I announce the closing of Innovative Speech
& Communication Services. My family and I are relocating to Texas in order to be
closer to family, and this move will take place in December 2006.
I am recommending my clients to the Oyer Speech-Language Hearing Clinic at
Michigan State University: 517-353-8780.
However, if you have questions about your child's communication skills, please feel
free to email me at: nora.sailor@sbcglobal.net
Thank you and goodbye,
Nora
